Covington woman killed in accident

The accident happened along Route 18 in Alleghany County. The accident happened along Route 18 in Alleghany County.

A 22-year-old girl from Covington died this morning when she ran her car off the road.

State police say Jessica Breeann Nida hit a tree and flipped her small Mitsubishi into a creek along Route 18 in Alleghany County.

The accident happened around 7:45 a.m. Nida was not wearing a seatbelt.
