News 7 is planning live coverage of the debate in Danville on News 7 at Ten on My19, and News 7 at Eleven on Your Hometown Station. The three Democratic candidates for Governor met Tuesday night in Danville, for the third in a series of five debates.
Tuesday's exchange included plenty of common ground, and some sharp disagreements.
With our latest News 7 Survey USA poll giving Terry McAuliffe a double digit lead, Brian Moran and Creigh Deeds spent part of the night taking aim at the frontrunner.
Moran said that McAuliffe talks about moving away from fossil fules, but then supported offshore drilling and construction of a coal fired power plant.
Deeds took aim at McAuliffe's previous support for NAFTA.
It was a two hour debate, with about 150 people in the audience.
A News 7 poll gives Terry McAuliffe a double digit lead over Brian Moran and Creigh Deeds, his Democratic rivals for Governor.
But a majority of likely Democratic voters who responded to the News7 SurveyUSA poll say they may still change their mind.
But the bad news for all of the Democrats, Republican Bob McDonnell leads each of them in general election match-ups, though Deeds is closest with a difference of five percentage points.
