After sitting in the Virginia Scrap Iron and Metal Co. yard for almost 60 years, Engine #1151 was cut in half and trucked over to the transportation museum. The move drew an audience of all ages.
The engine was built at Norfolk & Western Railway's Roanoke Shops back in 1911.
The museum's director, Bev Fitzpatrick, says it could be decades before the museum is able to properly restore the engine.
