UVA's president says he plans to continue teaching at the university even after he officially retires.

John Casteen spoke Wednesday at the fall barbecue for the UVA Club of the Roanoke Valley.

Casteen announced a few months ago that he plans to retire within the next year.

We asked him what his biggest accomplishments have been.

"We changed the university in physical ways. We worked with boards of visitors who wanted to build modern facilities. So by the time it's finished I think we will complete about 100 buildings. Right now, we've finished 98 of them," says Casteen.

Casteen says he wishes he could have accomplished more in building a new concert hall for the performing arts department as well as replacing the museum on campus.
