U Car Share is a car rental service developed by U-Haul.A new form of transportation in Blacksburg offers Tech students a little freedom while saving the environment.
It's called U Car Share.
The program, which is basically a car rental service, was developed by U-Haul.
It's different from traditional rentals because you can get a car by the hour and you only have to be 18 with a good driving record.
The six vehicles are parked in several different locations around campus.
You have to register online as a member and then reserve a vehicle.
Hourly rates start at $4.95 plus a mileage rate.
They aren't just for students.
Anyone in the area can rent the cars.
They can be used for overnight and weekend trips too.
