Bedford County students chosen for All-American Marching Band

Two young musicians at Jefferson Forest High School will be performing in next year's U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Dylan Barber and Michael Kerr have been selected for the All-American Marching Band, an honor "celebrating the values and strengths these standouts share with Army Strong Soldiers," according to a release from the Army.

Barber and Kerr will play during the All-American bowl's half-time show on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The U.S. Army All-American Marching Band recognizes the top 97 high school senior marching musicians from across the country and showcases their talents.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is billed as "the country's premier high school football event", featuring the nation's top 90 high school football players and telecast live on network television.
