North Cross looked to gain some momentum for another playoff run in the private school ranks. The Raiders did just that Friday night against rival Roanoke Catholic, securing the two seed in the postseason and a home game in next week's state semis.
The Raiders were already on the board when Fuller Clark goes up top for Brian Miller on the deep ball. That was good for a touchdown and a 21, nothing advantage.
Things went from bad to worse for Catholic on the ensuing kickoff. The Celtics cough it up, and the Raiders cover unit was there to pounce on it to set up another scoring chance.
Antoine Miller added another TD run for North Cross. The Raiders were all over Catholic Friday, 40 to nothing, the final in a shutout.
