Roanoke/Alleghany health district begins H1N1 vaccination clinics at schools Friday

The Roanoke/Alleghany health district will begin H1N1 vaccination clinics at schools Friday.

The clinics will be held at the following locations:

Friday, November 6, 2009

• Westside Elementary
• Oak Grove Elementary
• East Salem Elementary
• Breckinridge Elementary
• Callaghan Elementary
• Edgemont Primary

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

• Fairview Elementary
• W.E. Cundiff Elementary
• G.W. Carver Elementary
• Buchanan Elementary
• Falling Spring Elementary
• Mount Pleasant Elementary

Thursday, November 12, 2009

• Fallon Park Elementary
• Fort Lewis Elementary
• West Salem Elementary
• Troutville Elementary
• Sharon Elementary
• Roanoke Academy for Mathematics & Science Elementary

The clinics are sponsored by the local school districts and health department.  These vaccination clinics are for students who have a completed consent form on file at the school. 

We're told the form of vaccine administered will be determined on site.  If you need more information, call the Roanoke City & Alleghany Health Districts Call Center at 540-857-7634.   

If your child already got an H1N1 vaccination, you're asked to call your child's school to recover the consent form.
