16-year-old Devin Kirby was driving down Route 642 Sunday night when he ran his truck off the road and hit a tree. Kirby was a student at Altavista High School.A 16-year-old boy from Pittsylvania County is dead following a car wreck Sunday night.
State Police say Devin Kirby was driving down Route 642, also known as Shula Drive, when he ran his truck off the road and hit a tree.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m.
Kirby was a student at Altavista High School. Authorities are still trying to figure out what caused him to crash.
