economic advisors today and learned

that under the best case scenario, the

budget shortfall will be two- billion

dollars.

Worst case: nearly three billion.

It's news Kaine calls "sobering".

State agencies are preparing ways

for the governor to cut up to 15-

percent of their budgets.

That's about how much his

spokesman says it will take to save

two- billion dollars.

Kaine says nothing is off the

table.

Meanwhile, Republican leaders

criticized Kaine today for not making

cuts sooner.

is being razed in Salem.

Today residents and passers-by

stopped to survey the progress.

Crews are taking down the

building piece by piece and then

separating the rubble.

The plaza was built in 1979.

It's being leveled to make way

Improvement store- but the developer

says the store won't be confirmed until

all of the demolition work is

completed.

Investigator: "There in the window was

a really, really old lady. She had on

a white collar, and a broach, hair

pulled back, very wrinkled face."

Turns out there wasn't anyone

there - at least not anyone alive.

Some say that figure was the

mysterious "White Lady," whose legend

has been a part of Avenel for decades.

Sereno "There have been many

experiences of ghostly figures being

seen and each person thinks they've

seen the White Lady."

People claim they've seen all

kinds of ghosts here at Avenel from

children to civil war soldiers. But

the one ghost everyone seems to talk

about is the "White Lady." Question

is, who is she?

Sereno: "I don't know who she is.

I'm not sure that anyone really knows

who she is."

Many believe she's a former

resident of the home.

Pictures of the women who've

lived here still hang on the walls.

And at least one may be offering

clues about the White Lady's identity.

Sereno: "Our meters immediately

spiked and they stayed up there pretty

much."

Sereno is working with the

paranormal group "Ghostec" to shed some

light on Avenel's ghostly mysteries.

Investigator: "It does seem to be a

very active location. We have recorded

voices and light anomalies."

Voices like this:

Sereno: "We've gotten bangs,

noises, footsteps, things that just

can't be explained."

It's evidence they're now

presenting to the public - so that

maybe you can solve the mystery of just

who's haunting Avenel.

Center. Skies will be mostly clear to

partly cloudy tonight with lows around

50. Winds will be northeasterly at

10mph.

Winds continue from the northeast

Wednesday with high pressure located

near New England, and low pressure

developing off the southeast coast.

Since there will be plenty of dry air

in place, expect mostly sunny skies

with highs a touch warmer in the mid

70s. Partly cloudy Tuesday night with

lows near 50.

Thursday is a transitional day. Low

pressure will become more mature off

the Carolina coast. The day will start

dry, but by the afternoon clouds will

be on the increase with chances of

scattered showers. Any rain will be

light. The heaviest rain will hug the

coast. Highs will only hit around 70.

Showers continue Friday with overcast

skies. High temperatures won't make it

out of the mid 60s.

Saturday starts with clouds and a few

light showers, but as the disturbance

pulls to the northeast, we'll see slow

clearing for the rest of the day. Sunny

by Sunday. Highs are forecast in the

mid and upper 70s this weekend.
