Blacksburg Police are investigating an attempted abduction from over the weekend.

A woman was traveling down Patrick Henry Drive in the town when a car tried to get her to pull over. She eventually pulled into a well lit parking lot at the Village Apartments. A man tried to show her something was wrong with her car and then grabbed her from behind. He forced her in a car where a man with a ski mask held her down. They only traveled a short distance before letting her go unharmed.

Police released a composite sketch of the driver who forced the woman into the car. The car is described as a black, four door sport utility vehicle, possibly a Ford Explorer or Expedition.

Police say everyone should be careful. "If someone's trying to get you to pull over, especially if you are frightened in any way or it's dark, you should continue on to a well lit area," says Blacksburg Police Lieutenant Joe Davis. "Another tactic could be to drive to the police station if you're worried about that."
