Former Floyd Co. teacher charged with sodomy

There's a new charge tonight against a former Floyd County teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

Thirty-six-year-old Daniel Farmer is now charged with sodomy in addition to contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Farmer taught at Floyd Elementary School as a media specialist. He resigned last month after his arrest.

Farmer was also an assistant girl's softball coach at Floyd County High School.

He's currently out of jail on $5,000 bond.
