Campus police report a Virginia Tech football player accused of drunk driving was considerably over the legal limit.

Officers say 23-year-old, Hokie wide receiver, Josh Hyman registered a .12 Friday night. That's 50% over the limit.

He was stopped for a burned out tail light and for following a police car too closely.

Police say Hyman smelled of alcohol, admitted to having a few drinks, and failed two out of five sobriety tests.

Coach Frank Beamer suspended Hyman from tonight's football game at Boston College for violating team rules.
