A man was killed in an accident in Roanoke County Tuesday morning.
Police say it happened around 10:42 when a car ran the stop sign at Rome Drive and Crumpacker Drive. The car went straight through the intersection, hit an embankment and overturned.
A passenger, Leon E. Hoffman of Roanoke County, died at the scene. The driver, Pearl Hoffman, was taken from the scene in an ambulance.
Police are still investigating the crash. They say alcohol, drugs and weather were not factors in the crash. The Hoffmans were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
