Bomb threat closes three VT buildings

Virginia Tech closed Torgersen, Durham, and Whittemore Halls Friday afternoon because of a bomb threat.  Classes in those buildings were canceled for the rest of the day.

The latest handwritten note was found today.  This is the second bomb threat in a matter of weeks.  The university does believe there could be a connection between the bomb threats.

We're told it could take all weekend for authorities to sweep all three buildings.  That's because they're so large.  As a result, activities in those buildings have been canceled for the next several days.

Virginia Tech is offering a $5,000 reward for information about the threats.
