The two have joined together to become one. Saturday, Planned Parenthood of the Blue Ridge merged with Planned Parenthood Health Systems.
The goal of the merger is to provide better services for clients.
Planned Parenthood also hopes the merger will help them face opposition, which they have encountered in recent years from the Supreme Court.
Planned Parenthood of the Blue Ridge has centers in Roanoke, Blacksburg and Lynchburg.
