Virginia Tech has withdrawn its scholarship offer to recruit Peter Rose.

Tech made the announcement Monday in a news release.

"Each scholarship offer we make is contingent upon a number of requirements, one of which is maintaining the high standards required of each recruit in their community, school and on the football field.  I am disappointed that this action was necessary," said Coach Frank Beamer.

He is schedule to be arraigned on these charges on Friday, May 30 at 8:30 a.m.

Rose is a two-time Friday Football Extra Player of the Week winner as a quarterback, who was expected to play defensive back in college.
