Governor Tim Kaine visits the annual Boy's State conference at Liberty University
Young leaders from across the state are getting a lesson in public service.
The American Legion is hosting its annual Boy's State conference at Liberty University. Rising seniors from more than 800 Virginia high schools are in Lynchburg for the event.
On Monday, students heard from Governor Tim Kaine, who shared his background in public life.
Some were curious about what the Governor has planned after he leaves office, including a possible run at Vice President.
"I've always felt like it's nice to be mentioned, but not likely to happen. I don't spend a lot of time worrying about it. I do know this, I've got a good job as governor, and the place I can be most helpful to Senator Obama is right here in Virginia," said Kaine.
Kaine isn't the only state leader visiting Boy's State.
Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling and Attorney General Bob McDonnell will speak later this week.
