
Lynchburg Police Department Press Release:
The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a credit card fraud that occurred on October 11, 2008 at the Lynchburg Wal-Mart located at 2210 Wards Rd. At approximately 9:30 p.m. an unknown black male suspect entered the store and used a stolen credit card to purchase $1263.33 worth of electronic merchandise. Two of the items purchased were flat screen televisions. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a gray colored hooded sweatshirt and dark colored jeans.
The Lynchburg Police Department is also investigating a separate credit card fraud case that occurred on October 6, 2008 at the Lynchburg Wal-Mart. An unknown suspect used a stolen bank card to make two transactions, one for an X Box 360 and the other for a paintball gun. The two transactions totaled $774.12. The suspect is described as a white male with dark colored hair wearing a gray colored t-shirt, brown shorts, and white tennis shoes.
