The state is suing a Salem gas station, alleging it gouged customers last year as a hurricane approached the Gulf Coast.
The suit alleges Main Street Citgo charged "unconscionable" prices after Governor Kaine declared a state of emergency on September 10.
The Attorney General's office says the gas station charged $5.34 a gallon for regular unleaded, a 53 percent increase from just a few days before.
The state Thursday also announced settlements with Liberty Two Stars in Salem and Ran Express Stop in Roanoke.
They'll have to pay money back to customers and make contributions to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
