NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet

Oliver Frazier, NAACP Baltimore Branch vice president, Kurt Schmoke, Howard University vice president/general counsel, and Scott Phillips, Baltimore-based attorney, pose for a photo during the Freedom Banquet's cocktail hour. Schmoke was one of the evening's honorees. Hundreds of guests converged on the Hyatt Regency Hotel for a landmark celebration - the 100th anniversary of the Baltimore City Branch of the NAACP. Many mingled in the hotel's mezzanine for a cocktail hour before adjourning to the hotel's ballroom for the chapter's annual Freedom Fund Banquet.
