Position: Safety

Skinny: The safety position hasn't been mentioned as a priority this offseason, so it would be a surprise if the Ravens went in this direction. Smith is considered the second-best safety in the draft behind Alabama's Mark Barron, who is expected to go in the middle of the first round despite missing the combines after having hernia surgery. The Ravens expect Ed Reed to return for at least one more season, but the reality is that they need to prepare for life without him. They also could lose their top two reserve safeties (Haruki Nakamura and Tom Zbikowski) to free agency. At some point, they'll probably grab a safety in the draft, though Round One might be a little early for that.
