Up the Down Staircase winner

The winner of this week's Reader SunShots contest "Up the Down Staircase" is Doris Rafaeli. The picture was taken at the Bohemian National Hall in the Upper East Side of Manhattan with a Nikon D5100 camera. The following is a critique by Baltimore Sun director of photography Robert Hamilton. "I really like the vision the photographer has shown with this image. By concentrating on the colors and leading lines, the photographer composed a unique and impressionistic picture showing the viewer a striking photograph."
