Paul Buck, a financial adviser with Edward Jones in Hagerstown, recently received the following awards:

  •  Ted Jones Spirit of Caring Award for exemplifying the company’s values, culture and giving back. He was one of 178 financial advisers out of the firm’s more than 12,000 to receive the award.
  •  Edward Jones Sr. Founders Achievement Award for building client relationships
  •  Eagle Award for demonstrating “clear vision of both client and the business”
  •  Century Award and Jack Phelan Blue Blazer Award for outstanding business performance in 2011
  •  Service award for five years as a financial adviser

Alesia Abell and Sandy Conrad recently joined the City Center office of Edward Jones in Hagerstown as branch office administrators. 

Abell, a University of Maryland graduate, has 20 years of industry experience. 

Conrad has more than 20 years of experience in the building industry in the Tri-State area.

Edward Jones provides financial services for individual investors in the United States and, through its affiliate, in Canada.

Washington County Health Department

Shirley Kershner was named the Washington County Health Department’s employee of the quarter for the third quarter of 2012.

She began working with the health department in 2005 in the personnel department, where her responsibilities include processing new and exiting employees, coordination of benefits for all agency staff, and assisting the timekeeper.

Her selection reflects her professionalism, interpersonal interaction skills and dedication to confidentiality in all matters related to personnel activities.

Prior to working at the health department, Kershner worked at Washington County Hospital.

Dr. Sidney Cradduck

CHICAGO — Dr. Sidney Cradduck of Hagerstown received the Academy of General Dentistry’s 2012 Mastership Award during the AGD 2012 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, held June 21 to 24 in Philadelphia.

The AGD is a professional association of more than 37,000 general dentists dedicated to providing quality dental care and oral health education to the public.

The Mastership Award is the highest honor available at the AGD and one of the most respected designations within the profession. To obtain the award, Cradduck completed 1,100 hours of continuing dental education and passed an examination.

Cradduck graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1986 and practices dentistry in Hagerstown. In addition to the AGD, he is a member of the American Dental Association and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.

Cradduck and his wife, Pamela, have eight children, Emily, Justin, Rachel, Peter, Benjamin, Matthew, Laura and Jennifer.
