After 26 years in business, Dave's Restaurant will close its doors on Saturday.

Dave's is located on Orange Avenue/Route 460 in Roanoke.

The owners tell News 7 the economy is the reason they're closing.

They say business had gotten so bad it didn't make sense to keep the business open anymore.

Plenty of long-time customers have been coming in the past week to say good-bye.

As a thank you, Dave's plans to have a number of specials Saturday.

Lee Ann Brown has worked at Dave's for 21 years.  Her anniversary is actually Saturday, the day the restaurant closes.

Brown told News 7, "I have had very good memories here.  I have had memories here.  I have mixed memories.  It's just not Dave's to me.  It is also home to me.  It's very sad to me."
