Chances are many of you are saving up for the holiday season, and more and more retailers recognize that.
You've probably seen commercials for layaway programs at discount chains.
But, many local retailers also have layaway programs.
We found several small-businesses in the Roanoke area that offer year-round layaway.
"I think it's very heavily utilized. I think that most people would rather pay for things a little at the time instead than having to chunk out the money right away," said Carole Hughes of La De Da in Downtown Roanoke.
Other businesses we spoke with say layaway is something they've offered for years.
