How would you like to buy designer clothes for less than $30 and help a global charity?
Buyers are getting that opportunity this week at a big sale in Lynchburg.
Freedom 4-24 is hosting its annual "Frocks for Freedom" event, a flash sale that features both new and used clothing, purses, and shoes.
Brand names like Polo, J. Crew, and Coach are being offered, and nothing costs more than $24.
All of the money raised from the three-day sale will go toward efforts to fight human trafficking.
"It's not fun to talk about, but it's a reality for many people," said Johanna Calfee, an organizer of the Frocks for Freedom event. "We feel like if we can do something on our home turf, something small just by cleaning out our closets and donating the proceeds to Freedom 4-24, than we're doing something to try and fight (human trafficking)."
Frocks for Freedom is happening in the Tresca on 8th ballroom on Commerce Street. The new venue features a dressing room that was not available at previous sales.
A VIP preview sale is Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is $24.00.
The free public sale happens from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday night.
