Shopping at Food Lion paid off big time for one Roanoke woman.
Earlier this year, all Food Lion stores across the southeast held a $25,000 kitchen makeover contest through Facebook.
Tiffany Croson of Roanoke won the grand prize.
On Monday morning, the staff at the Food Lion on Williamson Road presented Croson with the check. She says one click on Facebook made all the difference.
"It was actually on Mother's Day. I remember it because I came home from going out to church, going out to dinner with my mom, and I came home and I usually do coupons and stuff. I went online and saw it and said well, what the hey, just put my information in and there it was," Croson said.
Croson plans to re-do her entire kitchen with the prize money.
This is the first time anyone from Roanoke has ever won a cash grand prize from Food Lion.

Hmmm, so that's the reason their prices have been on the rise. Their purchase discount cards are almost worthless now.
