Don't be looking in your mailbox for your tax forms this year.
Virginia's Department of Taxation will no longer automatically mail you state tax forms.
It is encouraging people to go online and print the forms or file electronically.
The state says, part of the reason, is budget cuts.
Eliminating automatic mailing will save Virginia $389,000 a year.
The Department of Taxation points out most Virginians already file electronically.
7 out of 10 Virginians filed electronically last year, or 69%.
Joel Davison is the spokesperson for Virginia's Department of Taxation. He told News 7, "This is one that made a lot of sense because of the growth because we really want to push as many people to electronic filing as we can because it is more full-proof, obviously faster and more convenient, and much faster to get your refund."
If you don't own a computer, you can still call the Department of Taxation and request your forms be mailed to you.
The IRS and 13 states no longer automatically mail you tax forms.
