Looking Ahead: Walter Mosley's 'The Fall of Heaven'

Congo Square Theatre is getting the excitement bubbling for its upcoming production of Walter Mosley's "The Fall of Heaven," based on his novel "Tempest Tales" (opening Feb. 25), with a series of free events with the author:

Conversation and book signing with Mosley: 6 p.m. Thursday at Harold Washington Library, 400 S. State St.

Screening of "Devil in a Blue Dress," starring Denzel Washington (with Q&A): 7 p.m. Jan. 18 at Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St.

Staged reading of a new work by Mosley: 5 p.m. Jan. 19 at Chicago Cultural Center
