7@Four: Southwest Virginia Ballet presents "The Nutcracker"

By  |

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- It's a Holiday tradition in our area!

"The Nutcracker" is coming to the Berglund Performing Arts Center, but this year they are putting some new additions in the performance.

Pedro Salazar, one of the performers in the show, joined us on 7@Four along with Jessical Worrell from Angels of Assissi.

Join Clara and the Nutcracker Prince as they battle giant mice, dance with snowflakes and journey to the Land of the Sweets where the Sugar Plum Fairy entertains them with exotic dances from around the world.

The performance will feature a cast of 150 performers that represent over 15 dance schools from the Roanoke Valley and beyond.

This year they will be teaming up with Angels of Assissi by letting one of their pups be a part of the show.

And that pooch is one who will be up for adoption.

The show will be on December 9th and 10th at the Berglund Center.
