12-year-old student charged after making written threat to students at Appomattox Middle School

APPOMATTOX CO., Va. (WDBJ7) According to Appomattox County Sheriff Barry E. Letterman, a 12-year-old Appomattox Middle School student has been charged after he wrote a threats to students that was found on Monday.

Sheriff Letterman says parents of students at Appomattox Middle School were notified about the threat.

The student was taken into custody and is being held at the Lynchburg Detention Center.

Deputies are still investigating.
