27th year of the Local Colors Festival

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) The Local Colors festival is back again for its 27th year. It is an event to promote the diverse cultures in our area.

Organizations and groups from countries like Sudan, China, and Egypt will have booths featuring native food. There are several learning opportunities for kids and adults. Local bands will play music and teach native dance moves to the public.

WDBJ7's Neesey Payne, Christian Johansen, and Sara Machi will also host the event on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Elmwood Park.
