3 displaced in overnight house fire in Danville

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) Crews managed to get an overnight house fire under control within minutes in Danville.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire on the 700 block of Dame Street at 11:57 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the one-story home.

The fire was under control at 12:17 am.

The house has heavy fire and smoke damage, but no one was hurt.

Three people were displaced. The Red Cross is helping them with temporary housing.

The fire was incendiary in nature and is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office.
