BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) Teachers at Staunton River High School are using music to encourage students before taking the Standards of Learning tests.
Staff at the high school made a video set to "Can't Stop the Feeling" by Justin Timberlake. It's no wonder the video has 59,000 views.
"My homeroom said they came up with a video so she pulled it up and played the video," sophomore Alex Yeager said.
Part of it includes bones.
"We all laughed and it was just different so it was cool," senior Julia Baisser said.
All through the school, they want students to know that they have their backs.
"That the teachers and staff we're all behind them 100 percent," Staunton River Library Media Specialist Leighann Ellis said.
When taking the SOLs, they're not alone.
"It's cool to see the teachers go the extra mile for you. It shows that they really care about you and they want to motivate you," Baisser said.
"They're probably going through a lot more than we are having to teach us everything that's on the test and knowing they share our fears," Yeager said.
Teachers always want to help the kids advance.
"No matter how much pressure may be on them, we are here to support them," Ellis said.
