UPDATE: Police have reopened Route 311 in Roanoke County

ROANOKE Co., Va. (WDBJ7) UPDATE:

Catawba Valley Drive has been reopened. Two subjects are now in custody.

UPDATE:

School buses will attempt to drop off Glenvar Middle School and Glenvar High School students living north of the Route 311 intersection with Bradshaw Road.

Students that can not be taken home will be dropped off at Masons Cove Elementary School. Extra supervision will be provided at Masons Cove.

This impacts students riding buses 70, 95, 97 and two stops for bus 205.

Parents may come to Masons Cove to pick up their students. Once Route 311 reopens, buses will deliver any students still waiting at Masons Cove.

Authorities say Roanoke County Police and Salem Police are attempting to serve a warrant at a home in the 3300 block of Route 311.

For safety reasons, police have closed Catawba Valley Drive from Bradshaw Road to the Appalachian Trail parking lot.

Roanoke county officials say students at Masons Cove Elementary, Glenvar Middle School and Glenvar High School who ride buses in that area will stay at school until the road is reopened.

Once the road is reopened, buses will drop off students.

If parents want to pick up their student, they should contact their child's school.

Police in Roanoke county have closed part of Catawba Valley Drive.

They say it's because of an "operation involving heavy police presence."

Catawba Valley Drive is closed from Bradshaw Road to the Appalachian Trail Parking lot.

Roanoke County Public Schools will be speaking to parents about afternoon bus routes.
