ROANOKE, Va (WDBJ7) -- According to court documents Dayshaun Kent has been charged with concealing a dead body, credit card theft and credit card fraud.

Kent made a court appearance Monday morning.

Authorities say the credit card he used belonged to Edme Merle-Perez, who has been missing since March.

The news comes after human remains were found in the 2700 block of Radford Road near the Tinker Creek area in late July.

That's the same area where Merle-Perez lived before she disappeared.

The remains were sent to the Medical Examiner's office for identification.
