According to a recent survey, many Americans say former President Barack Obama is among the best presidents they have seen in their lifetimes.

Done by the Pew Research Center, when asked which president has done the best job in their lifetimes, more Americans name Barack Obama than any other president.

The survey states that four-in-ten Americans (44%) believe Obama is the best or second best president, followed by Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan.

In comparison, 19% of Americans say that President Donald Trump is the best or second best president that they've seen in their lifetime. About 20% of Americans said Obama was one of the best presidents back when this survey was done in 2011.

The survey recognized that the generation of Americans that chose Obama as the best or second best were Millennials (currently aged 22 to 37). About 6-in-10 or 62% of Millennials view Obama as one of the top two, with nearly half (46%), viewing him as the best.

Older generations are much more likely than Millennials to name Reagan as one of the best presidents. Reagan was president before most Millennials were born, according to the research.

Gen Xers (ages 38 to 53) voted Reagan as number one at 45% followed by Obama at 41% and Clinton at 39%.

Among Baby Boomers (ages 54 to 72) and Silents (ages 73 to 90), Reagan is the popular choice.
