UPDATE: Missing Bedford woman found safe in Roanoke

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va (WDBJ7) UPDATE: 9:15 p.m.

The Bedford County Sheriff's Office says Wendy Renee Wilson was found safe in Roanoke on Saturday night.

Wilson had been missing since Thursday, February 23rd.

UPDATE:

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office says Wendy Wilson was last seen in Martinsville around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

A witness told police Wilson was at a Family Dollar store.

That witness says she wearing a black dress, black high heels and a baseball cap.

Wilson apparently told the witness that her car was broken down in Roanoke, and she needed a way back to Roanoke.

Wilson recently had brain surgery. It is unclear if her medical condition has anything to do with her disappearance.

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help finding a missing woman.

Wendy Renee Wilson, age 29, of Bedford was last seen in the Town of Bedford on Thursday, February 23rd.

Wilson is about 5'3" and weighs around 135 lbs. She has hazel eyes and black hair.

Wilson has a scar on her head from ear to ear due to recent brain surgery.

She has tattoos of stars on her back and neck. She also has a tattoo of a flower on her foot.

Wilson drives a 2003 Gold Honda Accord with Virginia license plate VNS-5552.
