BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) -- The Bedford County Sheriff's Office seeks the public's assistance in finding a missing teen.

Deputies say Olivia Carson Moore, 15, was last seen at her home in Forest, Va. on January 26. Deputies say Moore opened a window to keep from alerting her mother.

Moore is described as 5'7" tall, weighing 140 lbs with hazel brown eyes.

Deputies say Moore took some clothes with her and mentioned to a student at EC Glass that she may run away and also mentioned someone by the name of Travis. No one in the family knows this person, according to deputies.

Deputies believe she may have met someone online and was picked up at her house or somewhere near. She also mentioned Raleigh, N.C. and Greensboro, N.C. to several of her friends and may have obtained a cell phone from someone.

Moore's social media handle on 'Snapchat' has gone silent and her phone's location had been turned off, according to deputies.

Deputies ask anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact the Bedford County Sheriff's Office at (540) 586-7827 or call 911.
