BEDFORD CO., Va. (WDBJ7) On Halloween, Bedford County deputies arrested a man in connection to a string of burglaries.

Campbell County resident Michael Ray Ferguson, Jr., 31, is charged with five burglaries as well as five counts of grand larceny.

These burglaries all happened during daylight hours between October 4 and October 20. Investigators recovered three guns that had been reported stolen by victims of the crime spree.

Ferguson is being held in the Amherst Adult Detention Center.

Earlier this month on October 20, Bedford County Sheriff’s investigators arrested Roncervette D. Saunders, 59, of Lynchburg. Saunders has been charged with two counts of receiving stolen firearms and other property, and two counts of selling stolen firearms and property, all items connected to these Southside Bedford county burglaries.

Further charges are expected.

Sheriff Mike Brown presented both of them with a festive Halloween card explaining their Miranda rights.
