Bigger planes, smaller seats

(CNN) Airplanes are getting bigger but according to American Airlines you might have less leg room on your next flight.

American says it plans to add more seats on its coming Boeing 737 Max Jetliners.

To do that, Boeing is shrinking the distance between the seats by one inch, taking the gap from 31 inches to 30 inches.

With the change, American will become the first large U.S. carrier to cut out leg room.
