ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Roanoke's biking community continues to move forward with a new shop in downtown.
Downshift had their grand opening today.
The new business has a main focus of getting more people to pedal for transportation, but they're also serving up coffee and beer in the shop.
"It feels good. It feels like people come in and are blown away by how different it is than any other bike shop they've seen. So the feedback's been really positive and really helpful," stated the owner Stephen Ambruzs
To celebrate their opening, Downshift plans to give away a free bike.
Downshift is located at 416 Campbell Ave SW, and their store hours are: Monday thru Thursday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
