Buena Vista Rotary prepares goodies for lunch for disabled

BUENA VISTA, Va. (WDBJ7) They were hard at work on presents for some special recipients in Buena Vista Monday night.

They’re not exactly elves, but the members of the Buena Vista Rotary and some helpers from Parry McCluer High School were hard at work preparing gift bags. The bags are in preparation for an annual luncheon the Rotary hosts for local disabled adults.

"The bags are quite full, and actually for many this Christmas," says former Rotary president Andy Wolfe. "It is the gift that they'll receive, and in many cases the only gift that they'll receive."

The meal is Wednesday, and entertains the guests with music, a full holiday meal, and even a visit from Santa who presents the gift bags.
