Buena Vista schools get new truck

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY (WDBJ7) Dominion Energy solved a big problem for Buena Vista schools today.

The school system got the keys to this truck to replace one that they had used to plow snow for four schools as well as pull the new equipment wagon for the Parry McCluer High School band. The old truck's engine blew.

“Trying to purchase a pickup truck for a school sysytem -- pickup trucks hold their value much more than a car, and we priced them and we just couldn't afford it this year," says John Keeler, Buena Vista's School Superintendent. "So this comes at a great time."

The contribution is part of a continuing program by Dominion to help communities.
