ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) Teens that want to be a nurse or doctor have a chance to learn what it takes. Carilion Clinic opened applications for its summer camp. It's a rigorous four-day event. Only 16 students are selected for the specialized program. Students learn about the medical school and spend time in the operating room.
"If you are a rising 8th or 9th grader who is destined to be in the healthcare business the clinic or anything else," said Karri Proctor. "This is the camp to apply for. You're going to learn about 60 careers in healthcare."
The application closes April 20th.
