GALAX, Va. (WDBJ7) -- UPDATE
40-year-old William "Billy" McCoy Carroll was found safe days after leaving his home near Galax, according to Carroll County deputies.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office needs your help in locating 40-year-old William "Billy" McCoy Carroll who left his home on December 2, 2017, near Galax.
According to a release from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, he was last seen heading to Roanoke to speak with the FBI.
According to Carroll's sister, he is described as a white male standing 6 ft. tall with brown hair, green eyes. He also is described as having tattoos, with a missing ring finger on his right hand, with long hair pulled back in a ponytail. He was last seen in blue jeans and a lightweight coat.
Carroll's sister also says he suffers from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and may not be in possession of his medications.
