CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Volunteers in Christiansburg spent Thursday afternoon preparing your breakfast for Friday morning.

The United Way of Montgomery, Radford and Floyd is hosting a Drive-Thru Breakfast at the Hampton Inn from 6 until 9 AM.

Each person gets a bag full of fruit, their choice of biscuits, rolls, or muffins, coffee and the community newspaper.

The bag is 10 dollars that helps the United Way meet health and human needs in the New River Valley.

"Just another way to give back to the community in a way that's fun and easy for the people who want to donate and then also they can be rest assured that it will stay right here in this community to make a difference and improve lives," said Rachel Pearson with the United Way.

This is the second year for the Drive-Thru Breakfast.

Last year the group sold out of all 250 bags and raised 28 hundred dollars.
