CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) A donated Christmas decoration display is giving a family renewed joy this season after a fire destroyed nearly everything in their home.

Debra Long and her family weren't planning to have much this Christmas until a friend gave them 15 inflatable Christmas figures.

The decorations now fill the front yard of her mobile home in Christiansburg.

She reached out to us to say thank you to the donor.

"It's not going to be much of a Christmas, he knew we were kind of depressed this year. I can't be more thankful because there's just not that many people like that," said Debra Long.

The donations came from Doug Proffit in Shawsville who didn't mind sharing his elaborate displayed inflatables.

The set up at his home is incredible, there about 50 of those inflatables fill his yard and his neighbors' yards.
