LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ7) In Lexington Tuesday, there will be a chance to step into holidays past.
The Stonewall Jackson House will celebrate Christmas with the Jacksons, welcoming guests with costumed guides who will help them to experience what Christmas was like when Stonewall Jackson lived there in 1859.
“You’re going to get the chance to walk through the house. You’re not going to be lectured at," says Grace Abele, Site Director at the house. "You’re actually going to be a part of the celebration and be a part of the preparations. One of the things we’re going to have people do is to help us in the kitchen make butter and bread.”
It’s from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday. The cost of admission is canned food for the Rockbridge Area Relief Association.
